Trip to Houston
The weekend began with me getting to try another new food for the first time. This time it was zucchini. It looked like florescent green goo, so at first glance, I wasn't too sure I would like it. But after I tried it, I decided it was the best thing I have ever eaten. Yum! I've already had it at three meals. Yum. Mom says some other types of squash are next - I hope they are as good as the zucchini.
Saturday morning, I had my final swim class. Dad swam around with me and we had a good time. I'm sad that its over, but Mom promised to take me swimming again soon so we can practice all that I've learned.
Then we all packed up the car and headed down to Houston to visit Mom's friends. They have a son who's about my age and we got along great. It was such a pretty weekend, that we all went to Memorial Park, where there were lots of runners and strollers and babies. We all had a nice snack while sitting outside watching the sun start to set. Then I went home and fell asleep at our friends' house. It was a late night for me; I got to stay up past my bedtime.
Sunday morning, we got up and had a nice breakfast with everyone and headed over to the Houston Zoo! Mom kept telling me about the monkeys, and how neat they were. Unfortunately, I fell asleep and missed them. But it was a nice day, and it was great to get a quality nap outside.
On our way back home from Houston, we made a special stop for Dad and grabbed some Krystal. It sure looked good, but Dad wouldn't share any with me. We got back to Austin pretty late, so that's two nights in a row I've gotten to stay up past my bedtime. I am quite the night owl.

Smoothies!
Mom surprised me by making a new treat. I have been eating green beans this past week, but all of the sudden, Mom gave me something that was super delicious. A banana smoothie! I loved it.
It was a good thing too, because the night before I saw what Mom made for her and Dad for dinner and it looked really good. She called it stuffed peppers. And she wouldn't share any with me!
I posted some pictures of my bath, some food, swimming, and some other stuff.

Experiencing the world
Mom says variety is the spice of life, so we have been trying to experience that lately.
Sunday night I had a night out on the town. Mom, Dad, and I went to visit some friends for dinner, and we brought my Pack N' Play with us. When it came time for bed, I just slept over at their house. When I woke up the next morning, I was back in my crib at our house. I don't know how it happened - magic, I guess. Mom and Dad said they woke me later that night and took me home, but I don't remember that. It was fun though, and since I slept so well, Mom and Dad think they will probably go out with me again. My first night out was a big success!
When I was little, I had lots of nice green clothes, which really spoke to the Irish in me. Mom liked it and called me her little green bean. Today I got to find out what she was talking about when Daddy surprised us by coming home to have lunch with us and fed me a couple of bowlfuls. At first I was surprised by the taste, but they grew on me pretty quickly. Green beans are so yummy! I can't wait to have more tomorrow.
This afternoon Mommy and I followed that up with another new experience. After I did tummy time, I was kind of grumpy, and Mom said it was time to get out of the house. I can't see out of my car seat in the stroller, which is what I usually ride in when we take a walk, and I'm still too little for our big stroller. Mom thought I'd enjoy looking around at the whole wide world while we took a walk though, so she put me in a little umbrella stroller. It's so small, just like me! Mom said it's almost like pushing a toy, and I fit in it perfectly. It's really close to the ground, and I can see everything as we walk down the street. There's so much going on! I love it! Mom is right - it is fun to do new things.

Swim Lesson 5
I had my fifth swim lesson this morning, and it was a great one. I can't believe today was the next to last class already. I'm really starting to get the hang of swimming, and we got to play a bunch of my favorite games today. Dad shot a great video of me and mom playing in the pool. Swimming IV
Today was my fourth swim lesson. Mom and Dad mixed things up - this time Dad swam with me. It was fun, and I feel like I'm really improving. I only have two classes left. What a bummer.
